Subscription, Pricing & Billing Policy
1. Subscription Plans & Pricing Breakup
In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, Cashio provides full transparency on plan features, validity windows, and price breakups:

Note: Listed subscription prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable 18% GST. Where your organization provides a valid GSTIN during billing, appropriate tax invoices with CGST/SGST or IGST breakdowns are issued.
2. Validity Windows & 30-Day Billing Cycles
Cashio operates on a 30-calendar-day validity cycle upon approval or extension. Grandfathered lifetime accounts retain permanent validity. For standard subscriptions:
- Pre-Expiry Notice (≤ 7 Days): An in-app countdown banner notifies store administrators that subscription validity is approaching its scheduled end date.
- Expiration Onset: If no extension is requested, the plan expires on the 30th day.
- 15-Day Grace Period: To prevent sudden retail disruptions, mutations (cash entries, bill creation, edits) remain active for 15 days past expiry. High-bandwidth operations (CSV/XLSX imports and exports) are temporarily paused.
- Post-Grace Read-Only Mode (Day 46+): If the organization remains unrenewed after the 15-day warning period, the account enters locked read-only mode. All existing financial records are preserved for review, but create/update/delete operations return HTTP 403 Forbidden until a renewal is approved.
3. Plan Upgrades & Downgrades
- Upgrade Requests: Organization Admins can request plan upgrades from Settings > Subscription at any time. Platform Administrators review and activate requests.
- Usage Fit Check (Downgrade Guard): If an organization requests a lower tier (e.g. Pro to Basic, or Basic to Free), the server verifies that active cashbooks and entries do not exceed the target tier's quota. Downgrades that would strand active cashbooks are rejected with HTTP 409 until cashbooks are archived.
- Extension Additivity: Administrative extensions add 30-day blocks seamlessly to the current expiration date.
4. Non-Recurring Nature & No Automatic Card Debits
In accordance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) directives on recurring e-mandates (RBI/2019-20/88), Cashio does not execute unauthorized or hidden recurring credit-card auto-debits. Subscriptions operate via validity extension approvals. You are never billed without explicit request and consent.
