Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms & Capacity
By creating an account, accessing, or using Cashio ("Service", "Application", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all referenced policies. If you represent a company, sole proprietorship, partnership, or enterprise, you represent and warrant that you possess full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
In compliance with the Indian Contract Act, 1872, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age and competent to enter into a legally binding contract.
2. Nature of Software & Service Boundaries
Cashio provides a multi-tenant digital cash register, transaction ledger, and bill management software. You acknowledge that:
- Software as a Service: Cashio is a software tool provided to assist with operational cash recording and bookkeeping.
- No Professional Accounting or Tax Advice: Cashio does not provide chartered accountancy, certified audit, legal, or formal tax advice. You remain solely responsible for the legal compliance, GST categorization, and factual accuracy of your books of accounts and invoices.
- Independent Ledger Verification: You must regularly review and reconcile your balances, cashbooks, and customer receipts against physical cash and bank statements.
3. Account Security, Identity & Phone Verification
Under Indian information security standards and the Information Technology Act 2000, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, verified details including a valid 10-digit Indian mobile number (+91) during signup or SSO onboarding.
- Use robust passwords satisfying platform complexity rules (minimum 12 characters with mixed case, digits, and symbols).
- Promptly notify Cashio of any unauthorized access, session compromise, or security breach.
- Assume full responsibility for all activities conducted under your organization and membership accounts.
4. Subscription Tiers, Validity & Quotas
Access to Cashio features is governed by the organization's active plan:

5. Third-Party Integrations & Payment Facilitation
Organizations on the Pro tier may configure third-party services (such as Razorpay, PhonePe, and Meta WhatsApp Cloud API):
- BYO Gateway: You contract directly with your payment aggregator. Cashio acts strictly as a technical integrator and never touches, holds, or settles transaction funds.
- No Card Data Storage: In compliance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Card-on-File Tokenisation (CoFT) directives, Cashio never stores credit card or debit card numbers, CVVs, or payment credentials.
- API Credentials: Gateway secret keys and access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. You are responsible for safeguarding your third-party provider accounts.
6. Intellectual Property & User Data Ownership
Your Data: You retain complete ownership of all cashbook entries, customer profiles, bills, and transactions recorded in Cashio. Cashio claims zero intellectual property rights over your tenant business records.
Platform IP: Cashio, its logos, software code, user interface, templates, and trademarks remain the exclusive intellectual property of the service operator.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law:
- Cashio is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
- Cashio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data corruption, business interruption, or tax penalties.
- Cashio's aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by your organization to Cashio in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in India under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator appointed mutually by the parties. The seat of arbitration shall be in India, and the language of proceedings shall be English.
